Transition
An integral part of the Alpha School program is the reintegration of students to a less restrictive environment. For the majority of the students, this is a return to a public school setting. The students are gradually reintroduced to the public school setting starting with short visits, moving on to part-time attendance with the eventual goal of full-time inclusion. The Alpha School Transition Specialist works closely with the students, their families, school district personnel, and outside agencies in order to coordinate a successful transition plan. Each transition is unique to the individual student’s needs and builds on their successes.
